MOM: A Title just above Queen!

You trained me how to crawl

And how to talk and walk

You gave me a place to live

and always made damn sure I was nourished.

 

You instilled in my principles and values,

as well as the meanings of life

 and the importance of giving.

What an amazing, lovely, considerate,

 and intellectual mother I have, and you make me so happy.

 

Every day, you go out of your line for everyone.

Even if I'm experiencing a horrible day,

you always pay attention to what I say.

You've always been my bandages

 whenever I've had problems.

 

You constantly held me tightly and adored me completely.

When I required someone,

you have always been there for me.

With your generosity and everything you do,

I'm very grateful to have a mom like you.

 

All of these things are true, and I respect you, mum.

You are a one-of-a-kind mommy.

A small poem I composed for you to let you know

how much I love and cherish you every day.

The department was silent. Not the kind of silence that invites peace, but the kind that presses down on your shoulders and makes you long for something familiar—something warm. Only Nivetha and I remained in that still air, the slow hum of the ceiling fan trying to fill the emptiness between us. By noon, I slipped away. New place. New campus. New air to breathe. I walked slowly toward the hostel, letting my eyes linger on the trees that arched above the path. The soft rustle of their leaves carried me back to my undergraduate days in Trichy—those long corridors, dusty sunlight, the laughter of roommates, the scent of library books. To the Soul Who Turned My World into a Canvas of Colors....Happy Birthday, My Dearest Bestie Benita Once upon a chaotic 2019 , the universe looked down at me and thought, “Poor thing, let’s send her someone weird, wonderful, and wildly loyal.” And boom,  you happened. In the year 2019, life decided to write a plot twist in the most unexpected way. I had just completed my UG at Holy Cross College, a place bursting with freedom, festivity, and intellectual fire.
