Being a Woman doesn’t mean YES for anything!

In India, gender inequality is the most pressing controversial topic, with male superiority over women trailing below. To put men and women on a level, women's empowerment must be accelerated. Women's empowerment in all professions ought to be a top goal for the country. The imbalance between men and women causes a slew of issues that might stymie a country's progress. Women have the right to equality with males in society, and this is their inheritance. Women must be entitled to the same rights in order to truly be empowered. Women should take a successful and dynamic part in many fields, not just household and personal obligations. They should also be aware of what is going on in their neighborhood and throughout the globe.

Women's empowerment has the potential to significantly alter culture and the region. She is more capable than men in dealing with any societal issue. She is well aware of the negative consequences of overcrowding for both the country and the family. He is completely capable of handling the country's and family\\'s economic circumstances with proper family planning. Women are more capable than men of dealing with any form of effective aggression, whether it is domestic or public.Women's empowerment can be characterized in very simple words as giving women the potential to implement all of their own life decisions and to live in harmony in their families and societies. Women empowerment is the process of empowering women to attain their true rights as citizens.

Since olden history, India has had gender disparities and is a male-dominated nation, necessitating the need for women\\'s empowerment. For different reasons, women were pressured by their own families and communities, and they were forced into sexual exploitation and abuse and prejudiced by families and peers, which is not just witnessed in India but also in other nations. Incorrect and old societal patterns for women have been molded into new traditions and beliefs from ancient times. In Indian society, it is customary to idolize women in the roles of mom, sister, daughter, and spouse, but this does not mean that the country's development needs would be met simply by worshipping women. Today, it is critical that half of the nation's people, namely women, be educated in every sector, as this will serve as the country's foundation for progress.

India is a well-known country that exemplifies the slogan "unity in diversity," as people of various religions coexist in Indian society. Women have been assigned a unique place in each and every organization, which has served as a great curtain concealing the sight and as an image for many years, allowing people to do many harmful behaviors (physical and mental) against women. is. The custom of sati, city brides, dowry, sexual assault, domestic abuse, killing young girls in the fetus, purdah, sex slavery at the workplace, child labor, underage marriage, and the devadasi system, among other discriminatory practices, existed in ancient Indian civilization. Patriarchal culture and male supremacy mysticism are to blame for such wrongdoings.

Obstacles to women's empowerment in India include societal norms, Wages Disparities, Lack of education a problem that affects a large number of people, the Wedding of a minor, Assaults on women, etc.

Many people in India are barred from leaving their houses due to outdated and traditional notions. Women in such communities do not have the freedom to leave the house for school or work. Women who live in such an atmosphere feel inferior to males and are unable to improve their current social and economic situation.In India, women are paid less than men, and the situation is exacerbated in the unorganized sector, particularly in locations where daily salary is paid. Women get paid much less than males while completing the same amount of labor for the same period of time, demonstrating the power inequality between men and women. Despite having the same qualifications and experience as their male colleagues, women in the organized sector are paid less.

Women\\'s empowerment is also hampered by issues such as ignorance among women and the abandonment of studies in between. Although girls in urban areas are on par with boys in levels of schooling, they lag significantly behind in rural areas. In India, the female literacy rate is 64.6 percent, while the male literacy rate is 80.9 percent. Many poor girls who attend school miss out on their education and are unable to complete even the tenth grade.Although smart government initiatives have reduced the occurrence of forced marriages in India to a large extent in recent decades, UNICEF research from 2018 indicates that India still has roughly 1.5 million girls married each year. Because arranged marriage occurs before the age of 18, a woman's progress is halted, and she is unable to mature physically and psychologically.

Indian women are subjected to serious offenses such as dowry, honor killings, and human trafficking, as well as a high level of domestic violence. Women in metropolitan regions, on the other hand, are more vulnerable to criminal attacks than women in rural ones. Because of their safety, even working women avoid taking public transportation late at night. Women's empowerment can only be achieved in the genuine sense when women\\'s safety is assured and they are able to come freely without fear, just like men.

To achieve true women\\'s empowerment in Indian society, one must first comprehend and eliminate the root reasons for harmful behavior against women, which is the hierarchical and male-dominated social order. It is critical that we modify our attitudes toward women as well as our constitutional and legal requirements.The importance of girls and their education must be highlighted in order to realize the dream of women’s empowerment.
